Bumble, you say don't do anything. Would you just prefer to leave empty buildings empty, unkempt, let them get more run down, become attractions for vagrants and become a fire hazard?
I'm saying, be careful what you wish for. What exactly would you like to see on hamburg st? What exactly does the people who live in that area need that isn't already within just a couple of miles? And ice cream store? There is curry freeze, friendly's and the one on highbridge. On hamburg st there are pizza places, diners, stewarts, car washes, roller skating, laundromats, beauty shops, beauty spas, bars, gas stations, churches, uhaul.....and everything else is in a couple mile radius. The biggest eyesore is the old grand union.
I think the hamburg street area is still quaint and still resembles small town living. Like I said....be careful what you wish for.
There lies the problem, rotterdam is made of multiple centers of development Rotterdam square - campbell rd 5s (the junctio) Curry rd Hamberg st Exit 25a
All with little focus - if we had a comp plan that stood the test of time ne build this here because I have money and I feel like it, we woukl begin to see professional developement
Put down a plan and work it for more than 2 years
Oh, I forgot the metroplex upcomming deal for the old grand union - a USDA certified butcher shop housing live animals indoors ready for the picking....
Talking to each other is better than talking about each other
