Anthony's has fantastic food and the vets office is top of the line. They bring in specialty vets from different areas to serve the needs many vets can't provide. My dog needed a preliminary cataract diagnosis and they have a visiting vet from MA come in to just take eye and vision cases. Don't forget the Onrust is docked on the canal across from Anthony's. |

I can say that I have been out to the jct. perhaps 2 or 3 x's. And only for business. I honestly never go there. No need to. Every business in every picture are the same we have right here.
I always thought of the jct as a nice, quaint little hamlet where 'everybody knows your name'. And self sustaining within itself.
However, it never made to much sense to me how they could put a chemical plant (SI) near the aquifer.
true about SI just remember their name mabee different but they are still our family in Rotterdam |

Uh...Yup! Been there since 1951 or 52! So now we have an excuse on how this town is in such a mess. IT'S IN THE WATER! I believe they closed the congress street plant 'about' 10 years ago. That awful smell permeated the entire area! UGH! And of course they owned the buildings on lower broadway where the dss building is now housed. Hope they did a ground test there! |

ROTTERDAM Price right for new water tank Town may save $500K on project to help Rotterdam Junction service BY JUSTIN MASON Gazette Reporter Reach Gazette reporter Justin Mason at 395-3113 or jmason@dailygazette.net.
Bids for Rotterdam Junction’s new 500,000-gallon water tank came in significantly lower than expected. Supervisor Steve Tommasone said the lowest bid to build the tank came in at less than $1.3 million. With this figure, he said the overall cost of the project could fall under $1.5 million, which is more than $500,000 below what the town had initially anticipated. “It’s phenomenal news for those people in the Junction,” Tommasone said this week. The new tank will more than double the water capacity in Rotterdam Junction. Town officials have set a special meeting this evening a vote on the bid. And the overall cost of the project could come in even lower, if any cellular providers decide to lease space on the new tower for telecommunication equipment. Tommasone plans to contact area companies to gauge interest in space on the tank, which is planned for a site near the decommissioned Rotterdam landfill off Pattersonvile-Rynex Corners Road. He said adding telecommunications equipment to the tower could further reduce the cost to the 535 users from districts 3 and 4, but warned the money wouldn’t be realized until the tank is in service for a year. ................>>>>................>>>>................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....amp;EntityId=Ar01203

The main concern for these people is getting this water tank done for them and at a price they can live with. |
