The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out for himself, without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane and intolerable, and so, if he is romantic, he tries to change it. And even if he is not romantic personally he is apt to spread discontent among those who are. ~ H.L. Mencken

RPD contract negotiations are over.

Hammy must have given the rank and file permission to once again disturb the peace.

You can see what intellectual dialog you get from people with 60 college credits.

Welcome back boys, pick those knuckles up off the floor and hammering the keys of the onboard computer.

Damn, guess I struck a nerve.  More Cop-haters like Mertz.  This is a tough town.  Imagine if it was a police department
with all kinds of issues and complaints how many cop-bashers there would be on this site.

I don't think anyone here bashes the cops per se, at least not the clean ones. In every department, there's dirty ones - that's a different story.  What I think most have issues with is the unions and the negotiations at contract time.

Personally, I know MANY SPD and RPD officers and employees, as well as officers in the Sheriff's department - and don't have issues with any of them. Several even have shared dinner with us.
