I watched the history channel last night. They said that the earth has been warming up ever since the ice age. So just as the ice age was a natural process, so is global warming. They said that global warming in nothing new.

Being frugal with our natural resources and not tearing into every undeveloped plot of land is still a sound method of planning.  We are a wasteful society and need to change our behavior.  Using green technologies is still a sensible way of living.  It needs to be made more affordable.

We have offices dedicated to climate change at the state and federal level.  There's a serious waste of money!  Tell your legislators now!  We don't need special offices to work on this issue.  We have way more important issues to work on and it's called jobs in the private sector.

Being frugal with natural resources and the idea of  not tearing into every undeveloped plot of land sounds almost sensible. ALMOST!  However, this whole environment issue is all political. It goes beyond sensible!! It has caused a huge unnecessary government tax paid special interest group. How much of taxpayer's money goes for salaries, benefits and nonsense programs?

And please don't preach to the choir about being a wasteful society. Tell it to Al Gore!! Just tell the farmers to bale their hay 'by hand'. Tell them to plow their hundreds and thousands of acres to do it all 'by hand'. Tell THEM how wasteful they are being!

Oh, but I'm sure the government under the guise of 'environmental protection' will 'select' who they deem as being the law breakers of a 'wasteful society'. It has gone beyond nonsense!!

You Can Call Him Al ... But Al Won't Call You Back

Al Gore won a Nobel Prize and an Oscar for his film, An Inconvenient Truth. But in the last three months, as global warming has gone from a scientific near-certitude to the subject of satire, Gore -- the public face of global warming -- has been mum on the topic.

Al Gore won a Nobel Prize and an Oscar for his film, An Inconvenient Truth. But in the last three months, as global warming has gone from a scientific near-certitude to the subject of satire, Gore -- the public face of global warming -- has been silent on the topic.

The former vice president apparently finds it inconvenient even to answer calls to testify before the U.S. Senate. You can call him Al . . . but he won't call back.

On Tuesday, Oklahoma Sen. James Inhofe -- a prominent skeptic of global warming theory and the Republican leader of the Senate's Environment and Public Works Committee -- issued a request for Gore to come testify on global warming. In an interview with FoxNews.com, Inhofe said he wants Gore to appear because "it will be interesting to ask him on what science he based his movie," a film the senator considers "science fiction."

Gore has yet to respond, but that didn't prevent him from causing a stir at Apple's shareholder meeting Thursday. According to CNET, Gore was seated in the first row while several stockholders bashed his high-profile views on climate change. One reportedly said Gore "has become a laughingstock. The glaciers have not melted." ..........................>>>>........................>>>>.......................http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2010/02/26/inconvenient-truth-for-al-gore/

He can't answer you - he's nowhere to be found.  Won't even respond to senators that are asking for his testimony.

Go figure - someone who loves the camera as much as Obama, the cat got his tongue.

Climate Panel Urges ‘Distance’ From Reporters
By THE NEW YORK TIMES

Andy Revkin reports at Dot Earth that the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, faulted in the past for a siege mentality, has urged its participating researchers to “keep a distance from the media” and send any press questions about their group work to supervisors..............>>>>..............>>>>.............http://green.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/07/11/climate-panel-urges-distance-from-reporters/

Al Gore Lets Loose In Aspen Institute Speech About Bull**** Anti Global-Warming Pseudo-Science
First Posted: 8/8/11 08:56 PM ET Updated: 8/9/11 01:26 AM ET

Speaking in Aspen last Thursday, former Vice President Al Gore warned of the impacts of global warming. In sharp contrast to previous appearances, however, Gore may have frothed at the mouth a bit when he told the Aspen Institute's 'Networks and Citizenship' panel not to believe those that dismiss global warming.

In a passionate rant, Gore says his opponents are a group of people, "washing back at you the same crap over and over and over again. There's no longer a shared reality ... It's no longer acceptable in mixed company -- meaning bipartisan company -- to use the goddamn word 'climate.'"

Gore continues,

And some of the exact same people — I can go down a list of their names — are involved in this. And so what do they do? They pay pseudo scientists to pretend to be scientists to put out the message: ‘This climate thing, it’s nonsense. Man-made CO2 doesn’t trap heat. It may be volcanoes.’ Bullshit! ‘It may be sun spots.’ Bullshit! ‘It’s not getting warmer.’ Bullshit!..............................................................>>>>...................>>>>...............http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/08/08/al-gore-global-warming-rant_n_921721.html

...then, when he was finished speaking at the Aspen Institute about the dangers of Global Warming, Al Gore boarded his private Gulf Stream and flew back to his 10,000 square foot home in Belle Meade Tennessee.

The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out for himself, without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane and intolerable, and so, if he is romantic, he tries to change it. And even if he is not romantic personally he is apt to spread discontent among those who are. ~ H.L. Mencken

If Gore doesn't convince everyone that we need to control carbon emissions he won't get the billions of dollars through selling carbon credits. Someday real science will comfirm or deny whether or not man is adversely affecting the climate and then measures should be taken to correct it. The USA is already one of the countries who currently are trying to prevent pollution to the air and water. Send Gore over to China, or Indonesia where the real pollution is happening and let him start a campaign to stop the clear cutting of the rain forests because as we know trees take CO2 out if the air and give off Oxygen.

Well, the temperature this morning was in the teens, and I see that Al Gore has gone into hibernation.
