Rotterdam GOP could endorse Dem for Town Board May 29, 2007 at 2:11 pm by Paul Nelson A lifelong Democrat, John ‘Jack’ Denny III, could end up being endorsed by Rotterdam Republicans for a Town Board seat.
The executive board of the local GOP announced today it will recommend Denny in place of Tamara Tedisco who withdrew, citing family obligations. She is an independent and the niece of Republican Assembly Minority Leader James Tedisco.
Municipal Republican Chairman Gerard Parisi said the panel is scheduled to make a final decision when it huddles in mid-June.
He said the Republicans were impressed with Denny’s political and professional resume.
“Our major goals of keeping property taxes down, controlling spending and continuing smart economic development were all important to Mr. Denny,” Parisi said.
If they settle on Denny, it wouldn’t be the first time that he has crossed party lines to run for elected office.
Denny said he won the support of the GOP in his bid for Superintendent of Highway in the late 1990s, a race he lost.
This time around, Denny, 61, said he decided to seek the support of Republicans after his own party rejected him in favor of candidates Richard Lee and John Silva.
He is also considering forcing a Democratic primary.
“I wanna run,” he said. “I wanna stay involved in the town”
Democratic Incumbents Diane Marco and Robert Godlewski have said they are not seeking reelection.
Okay so now we are past mid-June and are into mid-July........and the verdict is?

Ah yes, because our current Republican Majority town board has brought forth so many sucesses. I hope that this "rotterdam info forum" is not just one big Republican Web Site full of one sided views. Bringing up issues or wrong doings by Constantino is a waste of time. Present day dems and/or republicans would both agree that he was wrong, and punished for his actions. Current Issues....current issues.... Mr. Bumblethru you posts are very agressive do not seem objective, why so much hate for the democrats, believe it or not there is not much difference between the parties. A perfect example is the Parisi-Denny alliance...

I don't know what 8-ball Patriot was talking about. And was s/he referring to Jack Denny or the cop Denny? I would guess the cop since that was his/her posting specialty.

No, I was refering to Jack Denny. For the past few years the two have been seen together hanging out at local bars and restaraunts. Even though Jack is old enough to be Parisis's father, it just always seemed odd to me, like something was in the mix, and it was! obviously
and my last post wasn't necessry, bumble knew exactly what I was saying, but he decided to try and take the focus away from my point, which was that Denny & Parisi have been in bed with each other for the past few years, and all this was carefully planned.
Sorry Patriot, your last post was necessary, cause I really didn't know about any Parisi/Denny thing. I don't frequent bars so I wouldn't know that either. It could be all hearsay anyways. For example....'hearsay' has it that Diane Marco is out socializing with the cops in bars together. Would that constitute the fact that she is in bed with them?
My question still is....did the reps endorse democratic Jack Denny? Or perhaps Denny will/did change his party affiliation from dem to rep?

Nope...you are thinking of the 4 corners pizza place. Gerard Parisi and Dave from Towne Decorators and I believe one other person owns the pizza place together.
