The thing about this election is...I wouldn't know Jack Denny if he came up to me and introduced himself.  At least I've seen pictures of everybody else.

The editorial cartoon (above) is entertaining and accurate!  The Democratic candidates for County Legislature (Hughes, Jasenski and Godlewski) are all reluctantly expressing tacit or soft opposition to Spitzer's "licenses for outlaws" plan as they realize that the polls indicate that New York residents are overwhelmingly opposed.  Jasenski was the only Democrat on the county legislature who voted AGAINST his party in opposition to the 2008 county budget with it's 4.5% tax rate increase.  The citizens realize that Mr. Jasenski was likely given permission from his party bosses to vote with the Republicans to curry favor with the voters.  His vote was inconsequential as the other Democrats in the majority all voted for the budget, rather than the proposed Republican budget that would have resulted in a tax reduction.

The Democrats are running on Republican issues of lower property taxes, increased public safety, and opposition to Spitzer's wreckless and irresponsible order to grant NYS drivers licenses to illegal aliens.  If any of the Democrats are elected, look for them to reverse their positions or for the causes that they claim to support to be pushed to the background.  Be advised that their boss, Susan Savage, has already publicly stated in an interview with the Daily Gazette, that if they take up the issue of illegal immigrant being granted NYS drivers licenses that the discussion and vote will occur AFTER Election Day and that the discussion will NOT propose directing County Clerk Woodward to refuse to comply with Spitzer's decree.

If you want lower property taxes resulting from reduced government spending, increased public safety to protect our citizens, and the enforcement of our nations rule of law, VOTE REPUBLICAN.  Don't be tricked by the wolves in sheeps clothing (or in this case donkeys in elephant trunks).

"If we can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them, they must become happy."

Della Villa is about the only one I absolutely would vote for.  The other will either be the toss of the coin or not at all. I don't like ANY of the other candidates!
