Gee, some of the same things I was going to suggest. Hope they don't get shot down by the sitting council for this year, considering we're still negotiating this year's budget...

This is hillarious.

Godlewski taking credit for "No County Tax Increase for 2008!".  Godlewski would be challenged to find the county building.  I have been at the past 5 meetings and have not seen him in attendance at any of them.

This is another example of lies and deception being spread to the voters.  Further, the spending cuts noted in the mailing are not based in fact.  Since there has been no audit of the Social Services budget, how can these politicians claim $2,137,000 in recovered welfare waste and fraud, the largest "real cut"?  More empty election promises made by an individual who isn't on the County Legislature and another who was appointed, not elected, who has only been there since mid June, and who has voted in lock step with the majority leadership exhibiting no independent thinking.

I believe that this promotional campaign ad will be Godlewski and Jasenski's undoing.  Once the voters learn of the mistruths, they will understand that these gentlemen are pandering politicians.   Individuals who are running for office need to treat the voters with respect and honesty and allow us, the residents of Schenectady County to decide which has the best ideas to address the issues facing our county.

How can Godlewski claim credit for these cuts when he doesn't even have a vote yet until he's elected. I thought that social services was mandated and certain costs can't be cut just like employee contractual items. Dictator Suzy and her following sheep will never go for most of the cuts that they propose anyway and you're right Zim they're both just pandering for votes with half truths and lies.

shadow, I thought the same thing about Godlewski taking credit for a budget he has no say in whatsoever. This is probably the worst campaigning I've ever seen! I don't know why he and Jasenski be truthful and say that they will do whatever the county majority tells them to do.

And this campaign ad was clearly nothing more than a politican's empty promises. And cutting social services is beyond their control. So what the heck are they talking about? And the Canadian drug fiasco was in place a while ago. Ahhh...don't ya just love the sound of puppet strings?

Godlewski and Jasenski are both just a pair of Dem clones who will vote anyway that Suzy wants them to. I saw what Godlewski and Jasenski did when they were on the Rotterdam Town Board so I know what to expect from them on the County Council.

This is what they are thinking:

Fraud--no ID warranting services but given
waste--control MD visits and 2nd opinions

The conversation is already started by the Dems/Reps BOTH....each is waiting to take the reigns/credit when the time is just ripe....

Too many illegals getting services(NYS drivers license/National ID, cant track what you dont know).....folks not using MD's that are "accredited by the government"(Taylor law)......pay attention to what each party says and how they say it......

National ID/health  will be pushed via fear and money and fraud.......watch and listen.....kiss our liberty good-bye for the sake of the village.......

THEY ALL EAT AT THE SAME TROUGH.....SHOW ME THE $$ TRAIL

This will turn out like a lotto/powerball/scratch off, grab for $$.....

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

STOP BEING GOOD DEMOCRATS---STOP BEING GOOD REPUBLICANS--START BEING GOOD AMERICANS

I encourage all to write letters to the editor exposing the deception and dishonesty of these mailings.  Isn't it time that we, the voters, should be able to render our support to a candidate based on their proposals and positions on the issues rather than on invalid claims and pandering?  This mailing makes the passage of Kosiur's Laws look sophomoric.

I agree Rene. This was a total blunder on the part of the democratic party. Perhaps the reps aren't putting forth candidates worthy of the elected position they are seeking, but the dems seem to be bumbling thru (no pun inteneded) everything they do. From the already elected dems to the running candidates.

However, this kind of campaign flier, just reinforces how misleading campaign ads can be. This was clearly a total blunder, mis-information and lastly, candidates just not right for the job in representing us.

I don't think they had a choice after the full airing of the "Meet the Candidates" with the LWV.

JoAnn, what do you think of all the Union Calls and lit drops to be made for these two.  It has been my experience that it just doesn't play well in D'burg.  The residents prefer a face to face from candidates.  Carolina and Angelo have been very visible out here, working very hard. People have noticed they haven't missed a firemans breakfast or dinner, but don't recall ever seeing Bob or Tony.
