How about a fee for holding good gov’t jobs?

Since Gov. Spitzer is intent on imposing fees (more taxes) on the citizens of New York, I have a novel idea to ease the tax burden on us.
We will create a “usage fee.” This fee will be paid by the governor, legislators and state employees. It will be implemented for the privilege of having high-paying jobs, directly funded by the taxpayers.
For example, using a ballpark figure: $100 times 200,000 state employees equals $12 billion. This money will go directly to lower taxes. To be fair, those state employees with the highest-paying jobs will have to pay a higher “usage fee.” Now rest assured this figure can be adjusted as inflation and the cost of living goes up.
Once this plan has been formulated and set in place, we could also apply it to the federal government!

I say do this at EVERY level of government.  You're there to SERVE your constituents.  Imagine if you had to earn some of your money then give it back, almost like you're doing something for your community WITHOUT GETTING PAID FOR IT!

Even if they give back their 'fee' they will still be giving it to us via the unions and other 'investments' in and around our local areas with National Grid and other necessities....these folks have ALOT of money and priviledge---where do we think it comes from.....even the 'private sector'(of which there is not much, considering the regs in NYS) pays to exist---where the hell does that money go???? Anyone???

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
