Schenectady school board head defends wife’s employment

SCHENECTADY — Board of Education President Jeff Janiszewski denies having anything to do with his wife getting a city school district position without having to take the required civil service examination.
Janiszewski said his wife, Catherine, had been working for the district for seven years as a paraprofessional when a “behavior intervention specialist” position was created in 2004. She applied and was hired on a provisional basis pending a civil service test. However, the district never acted on a letter from the county Civil Service Commission advising that a test was required.

SCHENECTADY - Accused serial bomber Steven Raucci pleaded not guilty to a 26 count indictment that alleged he waged a campaign of bombings and vandalism to frighten enemies.

Raucci, 60, was arraigned by visiting Schenectady County Judge Polly Hoye who sent him back to jail where he has been held without bail since his arrest in February.

Raucci's attorney, Ron DeAngelus, said he intended to ask the judge to consider letting Raucci out of jail while he awaits trial.

Nope...never belonged to a union. My union issue is how they allowed people in a union position without ever taking a test. There are allegations of gross negligence under the union umbrella. That's all.

  According to Marv's sources members of the State Police Special Investigation Unit have been examining City School District financial records that involve the Mad Bomber. It was also learned that members of the State Comptroller's staff are assisting the State Police with the fiscal investigation of the former school district facilities director and CSEA chapeter President.{Does this mean the Metrograft audit is finished?}

  And more news, his sources expect the grand jury to criticize Schenectady School District officials for talking no action against the Mad Bomber despite allegedly having knowledge of his violence and intimidation tacits.

     Mrs. Tom Bellick has no support for her 4th term. Jeff J does not have the old mojo. Without the Mad Bomber there is no spark. People are wide awake and change is coming{finally!} to the City.

Yes, Raucci pressured the janitorial staff to do campaign work at election time, stuffing envelopes and staffing the CSEA phone bank, in an effort to pass the annual school budget and get candidates elected to the Board of Education, candidates who had been recruited by Jeff Janiszewski, the board president.

Do we really think he was 'alone'.........

Linda Bellick...Why would any rational human want her re-elected to the board? Or any other member of the School administration at Schenectady Schools for that matter? WHY? There was an awful pattern of abuse, and criminality going on here for the longest time, all cloaked in a veil of "the kids" and "the education of our children," and that mother-jazz. GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!
