That's almost enough for me to watch that show.  Almost.

I can't believe that Jon Stewart has gone right-winger.

I actually give Jon Stewart credit for saying and acknowledging the obvious. Yup....I just may check in with his show now and then.

I wouldn't call myself a religious viewer of the Daily Show.  But when I do watch the show, I can say he is a genuinely funny and intelligent man, regardless of your political leanings. He does lean left ideologically, but when the left looks stupid, he doesn't give them a free pass.  The Colbert Report, which is on after The Daily Show, is pretty funny also.  You do have to be able to take satirical humor that is aimed predominately at conservatives and republicans.  Both shows do a good job of putting the cable news networks "scare journalism" into perspective.  You realize that some things that cable news gets us worked up about are really in some cases laughable.

The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out for himself, without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane and intolerable, and so, if he is romantic, he tries to change it. And even if he is not romantic personally he is apt to spread discontent among those who are. ~ H.L. Mencken
