Where did the millions of gallons of water go? Should we be concerned about sink holes now?

I would think that everyone should have gotten one.

Well that's just great!  What the heck does that mean, if I dial 911 it will not go through?

Quoted Text
Residents were notified by activating the county’s reverse 911 system, which placed a call to all town residents alerting them to the boil water advisory. Notices also went out to local media.
“Schenectady County emergency planning took care of that for us,” Collins said.

So who actually controls this Schenectady County Emergency System?

This is the link to the Schenectady County Emergency Management Office:  http://www.schenectadycounty.com/FullStory.aspx?m=151&amid=580

If I were you rollarama, I would contact them directly.  I'm guessing you don't live far from me and I was contacted twice on Sunday.  I'm off Ft. Hunter.  Had low pressure all day yesterday and no water at all last night, but had it this morning and it was clear when I left for work.

I'm guessing the severe cold weather, then the warm up and heavy rain had something to do with breaking down the aging infrastructure.  Maybe in the next cold snap coming it will be sewer lines!!  Now that should be a great start for the new administration!

According to a gentleman at the Schenectady county health dept I talked to... 2 water samples are being taken and sent out...Apparently they take 16 hours to process results...

If the results prove satisfactory, The boil water advisory could be lifted as early as tomorrow (tuesday) afternoon.

I'm still wondering if sink holes will be the next issue facing rotterdam.

We also received no calls - our neighbor got a total of 4 - as did my brother in HighBridge.

Something's definitely flawed with this system.  Any idea who to contact regarding it?
