Does anybody know what was  going down on Altamont Ave. about 30 minutes ago?  I passed the Rite Aid and there were about 8 cop cars there and they had a car with the trunk open--couldn't see if they had somebody or not?  Would have started a new thread but I don't know how.

Don't know! But I'm sure the cops will handle it!

We are more interested and are still waiting to find out exactly HOW the last administration 'broke the law'. I'm sure you can supply the facts....right? We are waiting with pitch forks in hand for the 'facts' to back up your 'accusations'. K?

You clearly wouldn't be spreading liberal socialist democrat rumors or hopeful thinking now, would you?

They probably sighted a Republican and needed to make children, seniors, the poor, minorities, Eunice and the rest of the world safe and stop him.

To answer your question - no, I don't know.

To be a little more helpful, here's an image on how to start a new topic - just select whichever forum you feel it belongs in and click "New Thread" (a thread is a topic, within that forum)

Now, about those "facts" ?

On a more humorous note, why would Somebody (nickname ::fail) be in the trunk?

Esposito notarizing for no-shows no big deal

This letter is in reference to [Rotterdam Town Clerk] Eunice Esposito notarizing official documents (for some seniors she may know) without having the senior sign in her presence. Did she hurt anyone? Did she personally gain anything for herself? No! She was being kind and helpful.
Eunice is a beautiful, kind, warm-hearted human being; we have been very fortunate to have had her as our town clerk. She’s more like a family friend looking out for our needs.
God bless her, and hope she will continue to be our town clerk for many more years.

    TERE ANN BELOUIN
    Rotterdam

Is this the same Tere Ann Belouin that owned GEM jewelers that was located at the old Shoparama? My brother took a real ruby ring there to be put into a new setting. Years later when he moved to another state and had their belongings appraised for insurance, they found that the real ruby had been replaced with a piece of red glass.

Correct, I agree with MM!  Maybe TERE ANN BELOUIN would like to pay the additional $$ in my taxes that I am picking up because a deceased person's Enhanced STAR application was notarized illegally.

RE:  Eunice--"No good deed goes unpunished."  She tried to help someone, a senior,  and instead she got $hit on.  I think Jimmy Constantino was a much bigger story.  This does not equal that.  Get passed it.

No one is denying the fact that Eunice was trying to help someone. Everyone is saying she broke the law. I have friends and family that are notaries. They all agree that at the least, she should have her Notary privilege taken away. If there are additional issues that may have to be addressed, then it should be handled accordingly.

HAHAHHAAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA

I think GrahamCrackerJack stated it best-

she may have thought she was helping, but it only takes one person to take advantage of her to screw over the rest of the town.  thats why there are laws/rules/guidelines in place.

lets see an unbiased independent investigation.  ohh i forgot  I am in NY oooppss

Seriously- dont most people have a brain that might assist with REASONING ?  Certainly , she may have broken the law - but Im wondering why the bible thumping conservatives with thier moral compass  calibrated and contaminated with politics are so thickheaded about this-

The pharisees would make a big deal about not eating a GNAT- because they weren't Kosher - but would swallow a camel- Matt 23:24-
Im not sure who are the ignorant ones here-

I find it ironic that Eunice's own brother angry at losing the supervisor's race to Jim Constantino described a "Rotterdam mentality" that made them pull the lever for Jimbo again.  Bill Osta would never have been guilty of child-molesting or corruption.  He was a good, honest man.  It took Guilderland schools to finally nail Jimbo.

It's the same "Rotterdam mentality" that is defending his sister.  Those that don't see anything wrong with what she did are clearly misguided as to the duties of a Notary.  She broke the law, plain and simple.  She admits it.  She should be surrending her stamp, not necessarily her post, without any further discussion.  If she had wanted to assist senior citizens, she could have visited them in the hospital or their homes to witness their signature.  If she had, we wouldn't any of us be discussing this, now would we?  She truly has been devoted to helping residents.  However, she her decision-making process in this regard was clearly wrong and she knew it.  It could have a ripple effect on more things than just the STAR program.  Who knows how many legal documents were falsified.

The Town Ethics Commission should be conducting an investigation immediately.  Have they been brought into the picture at all?  What is their involvement??

The NYS Department of State should also be conducting an investigation.  The new Town Board should be proactive on this since all but one campaigned on transparency.

Are they suffering from a "Rotterdam mentality" syndrome too?
