The problem with electing Angelo is that he will vote however Silver tells him, just like he now votes however Savage tells him. One more democrap certainly will mean one more pro-downstate, pro-taxation, pro-spending, pro-borrowing, pro-big government, pro-regulation, pro-drive-the-state-bankrupt vote.

I recall that Angelo swore Gerard into his Town Board seat just before Santabarbara announced
his change of party affiliation.  

I agree with the prediction that others have made that Gerard will change his party enrollment
soon after his loss in the September Primary Election.  He will then begin his quest to seize control
of the Democrat party.

I agree. Then the democratic party will eventually become the new republican party under the guise of 'democrat'. It appears that the dems have gotten so power hungry and complacent, that they don't even see that the farm is being sold right from under their noses.

I think if anything, it will be the other way around. You're right about the insatiable Democrat appetite for power, but they are far from
complacent...complacency is not what got them control of the minor parties...and what appears to be a gradual, methodical infiltration
of the Republican Party will proceed with a vengeance if the Republican Party does not find a way to unite and protect the Party from
such an invasion.
Just look at what's happened with some of the top Republican vote-getters...they have either switched to Democrat or switched
to Conservative to run as Democrats. If something doesn't give, we will soon see what will be truly a one party system,. simultaneously
operating under the names of their wholly owned political subsidiaries...other wise known as the Democrat, Conservative and
Independence Parties. The Republican Party, IMO, needs to find a way to avoid being sucked up into that vaccuum.
