enough with the past......
it is that mentality that keeps us in the dark ages
bring it up if they ask for your vote

until then
clean up the useless code - noise, signs, racetracks, events.... if you cant enforce it toss it out
fix the water
fix the sewer plant
end spot zoning
comp plan
put the police chief and asst chief in a patrol car for their near and over 6 figures in a mid 5 figure town
and remove those who don't follow the posted rules - like the clerk!
progress on any of the above  - hell no

taxes at the town level are not the issue!

Well Tippy if you don't clear up the past you're doomed to repeat it.  Let's hope Rotterdam can get out of the Dark Ages.  If that is your laundry list of what needs to get done, run for office.  That's what FDG did.

So far, it look like FDG ran for office to make zoning changes for old friends.

The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out for himself, without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane and intolerable, and so, if he is romantic, he tries to change it. And even if he is not romantic personally he is apt to spread discontent among those who are. ~ H.L. Mencken

FDG 'is' part of the dark ages!!!

He thinks that having a referendum for rems is just to get a 'feel from the residence' on how they feel. Hell, he could save the taxpayers $15K for this special vote and just used the FREE podium at the town board meetings!!!

He defended a town clerk that admittedly committed fraud.

Now that's really coming out of the dark ages, huh?

You guys are so biased.  If it is not cheering on Reps you guys are against it.  Yeah lets bring back the enlightened ST and that gang.  Parisi appointed himself to the position he's in--that's total enlightenment.  LOL  FDG had compassion for EE.  Like it or not EE  could still win another election.

Maybe I should.....

Hi my name's Tippycanoe (shaking hands)
I am here to tell you I plan to upset the apple cart
seeing as you moved me for progress
Too bad we are no further ahead than on the day I was pushed aside

The bad part is I plan to spend taxpayers money to further the town as a whole
Not move it backwards

Understand it may take 4-6 years because all the children can't play together in the sandbox full of non-clumping used cat litter

Tippy for .....

Del Gallo campaigned as a conservative.  His supporters lauded him as a successful business man.  Yet, in the first six
months of his term he is supporting the creation of a tax district and rejecting a proposal (from Mohawk Ambulance) that
would increase the revenues to the town.  His support of REMS will increase the size and cost of government.  It counters
the concept of free market competition and the capitalist system.

Despite claims made by Parisi during the fall campaign that Frank was illiterate, I gave Del Gallo the benefit of the doubt
when he was elected that he would do right by the residents of Rotterdam.  I hoped that he would govern as a conservative
and reduce spending and taxes.  I have been disappointed.

It appears to me that Frank allows himself to be manipulated and controlled by others.  A rudderless ship sails at the mercy
of the seas without course or direction.

IMHO the Town Board, just like in Oz, is being controlled by RG whose pulling the strings from behind the curtain. I have noticed since he's been elected he has tried to incorporate Rotterdam more toward being controlled by the city/county Dems and has abandoned his concern for the tax payer and wasteful spending like he did when the Reps were in control of the board.

There is no doubt that FDG is being manipulated by the senior Godlewski...but the others have made it clear they will not be misled.

For the record, FDG revealed to me at the beginning of the year that he personally did not want this tax...but insisted that we have to let the voters
decide. I told him then that the vote was not necessary...but if they were going to insist, the public needs to know all of the facts before you ask
them to make this decision...including the existence and details of other options. He assumed no one else would want it either. The point he was
missing is that the information being withheld from the public is the same information that would incline others to oppose the tax as well...another
one of those tactics meant to deceive the voting public...an informed public with full access to the vote would kill the measure.
The problem isn't his position on the tax itself, it is the suspicious design of this vote. Of course he has been led to believe by the key engineers of
this scheme (the two Godleskis and the other town attorney, Joe Laccardi) that their own imposed circumstances of the vote leave them no choice but
to hold the vote in the middle of summer. What they never told FDG is that the circumstances they created were for the explicit purpose of fixing the
vote to favor REMS.

I don't believe that to be accurate. I have never heard FDG ever state he supported the creation of a tax district.

That's true...he has never said any such thing. He is in fact against the tax itself. Now if we could only get him to see the "vote" scam for what it is - an
elaborate plan to impose a tax on unwilling taxpayers, like FDG.

FDG needs to see (or be shown) that he's being manipulated by those he's chosen to put next to him. Until that happens, it won't change.
