That is too bad .. because they are being influenced by a small group that is full of hatred, negativity
lies.

We need a site that will allow people to have a positive and constructive discussion of local issues.

Yes, hatred toward people that distort and out right lie about facts.  Like you trying to blame the previous administration for something that took place on Paolino's watch.

Sorry if I'm not swallowing the line of sh!t you are feeding me.  Political discourse sometimes gets a little harsh.  Callus up.

The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out for himself, without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane and intolerable, and so, if he is romantic, he tries to change it. And even if he is not romantic personally he is apt to spread discontent among those who are. ~ H.L. Mencken

Paolino was Supervisor but the GOP controlled the Town Board.

Full of hatred and negativity? That's the way all liberal socialists spin it when anyone disagrees with their agenda. I believe the spin words are 'hate speech and racist' The liberal socialists are a party of 'go along to get along'!

This blog does allow people to have a positive and constructive discussion on ALL issues. They are called 'opinions'. And if you think these 'opinions' are exclusive to this blog, then you don't get out much. Make no mistake......I hear these, as you would call them, hatred and negativity conversations EVERYWHERE!!!

And this blog does allow people to have a positive and constructive discussion. We just don't all agree with each other!! Thatis what is called free speech and debate!

...........if it's too hot in the kitchen......

Wasn't part of the issue with Golub turning over the Curry Road land to the town that there was to be no new retail to some extent on that land?  Here's an idea that's way beyond being able to happen now, but if Golub really cared about Rotterdam, it's home community, why didn't they get this land back from the town and build their new office building on it instead of going downtown?

Metroplex needed all the people who work in the offices at Golub to relocate  down town to revitalize the city.

So they could eat lunch in Little Italy? Too bad Golub has its own cafeteria.

No corporations from outside the County are moving in. So let's raid Rotterdam-nobody will say nuthin.

and yet the "silent majority" that I have speak to .. want economic development .. the fact is this blog
represents about 3 dozen people  .. 3 dozen who actually post anything .. and some of the 3 dozen
don't live in Rotterdam .. and some of the 3 dozen are actually different "personalities" of the same
person

because those 'silent majority' haven't been educated about the buzzwords.....OF COURSE we want economic developement......but, not
on my back.......ignorant appathetic masses are easy to steer with buzzwords.....IT'S ALL RECYCLED $$.....NOTHING NEW....

AND.....the silent majority either aren't married to/sleeping with/engaged with/in contract with those in the gumba circle.......and some of the silent
majority are satisfied with morsels from the 'kings table' via tickets/drinks/food/name dropping...........

and leaders.....then there is a another ladder rung to the feds.......did you ever read Atlas Shrugged?(I aint no Beck fan either).......

this picture is bigger than Rotterdam/County/State........the fringes of the rope involved are what we are dealing with.......

Oh...Wow...Aren't you clever.  Have you figured out who the town official's were when Villa Italia moved downtown?  I know you were struggling with the facts on that one.

there is nothing to figure out .. during the last part of Paolino's time as Supervisor .. the Town Board
ws controlled by the GOP .. and the GOP used its "muscle" to control town government, thePlanning Commission and the Zoning Board of Appeals ..
so I guess the only one "struggling with the facts" is you Kelly

You might want to get in touch with the administrator and see if they can delete this post so you can make sense.

They wanted to relocate within the town -- and it was blocked by the then supervisor.(Paolino)

I never put the word Paolino in that quote -- you did -- so I have nothing to take back.
