Absolutely.  I don't have a clue what happened after I said my piece.  I had to go, it was past my bedtime.  I needed to get some sleep.

Okay, I watched the last town board meeting today on channel 16. It was on from 1pm to 3pm which was the alotted time given by channel 16. But it clearly was not over. But there is one thing I took from what I saw. The gentlemen who own the grand union certainly were clear on their perception of what happened. They seemed to feel that they were in the running for this money grant along with the Curry Rd shopping plaza. That it was a toss up between the two. And that the town chose the shopping center. Well even though I am not particularly a fan of Ms. Marco, she made the point crystal clear. The old Grand Union was NOT ever in the running for this particular grant. Not to mention that Rotterdam doesn't even know if they will get it.

And even though I share the passion felt by the owners of the Grand Union, this particular grant was clearly not about them. It never was.

Mr. Godlewski was his usual negative self! The man just says 'no' to everything with no alternative solution or ideas of his own. Wouldn't he just be the perfect sheeple match for the county seat?

John Mertz did an outstanding job of explaining this grant and how it came about. He also said that there is much more going on behind the scenes that are favorable for Rotterdam. And ya know what....I believe him!
