Just saw this on Drudgereport.com. It's his headlines tonight:

"East Coast Faces Deep Freeze; Florida Oranges Threatened...
CHILL MAP...
Iowa temps 'a solid 30 degrees below normal'...
Peru's mountain people 'face extinction because of cold conditions'...
Beijing -- coldest in 40 years...
World copes with Arctic weather... "

And we still have people believing in MAN-MADE global warming.

This IS earth....where we live in the GIANT universe.....we are that small.....

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

No....but, I do believe in man-made polluting......as for global warming, I'd like to interview the dinosaurs and reverse the spin of the
earth......honestly though, I dont believe 'man-made global warming' exists as it is told to the masses.....I believe it is a natural
occurance of the earth and life......could we do things different sure, it spurs research/trade/manufacturing etc.......

I am not a scientist but, I do question almost everything spewed out by the tv/internet etc.......why?---that is what we are supposed
to do......

I also believe in man-made polluting - look what happened to Red China.

But for people to still believe in man-made global warming, even after emailGATE, is shocking.

The one I liked the best today was:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/jan/03/peru-mountain-farmers-winter-cold

Quoted Text
In a world growing ever hotter, Huancavelica is an anomaly. These communities, living at the edge of what is possible, face extinction because of increasingly cold conditions in their own microclimate, which may have been altered by the rapid melting of the glaciers.

Talk about spin?

Has anyone been watching the history channel? It's been about 2012, the pyramids, the book of revelations, nastradomous and the apocalypse every night. For however true it is.....all of the ancient civilizations say that the climate will change and become more intense as we get closer to that 'special galactic alignment' on 2012. It's a very interesting series. If nothing else it does make one think.

It shows how ALL ancient civilizations believed that the answers to the future were in the stars/universe. But they didn't have Al Gore!

Pensioners burn books for warmth
Hard-up pensioners have resorted to buying books from charity shops and burning them to keep warm.
Logs burning in fireplace Pensioners are burning books to keep warm

Volunteers have reported that ‘a large number’ of elderly customers are snapping up hardbacks as cheap fuel for their fires and stoves.

Temperatures this week are forecast to plummet as low as -13ºC in the Scottish Highlands, with the mercury falling to -6ºC in London, -5ºC in Birmingham and -7ºC in Manchester as one of the coldest winters in years continues to bite.

Workers at one charity shop in Swansea, in south Wales, described how the most vulnerable shoppers were seeking out thick books such as encyclopaedias for a few pence because they were cheaper than coal.

One assistant said: ‘Book burning seems terribly wrong but we have to get rid of unsold stock for pennies and some of the pensioners say the books make ideal slow-burning fuel for fires and stoves.

A lot of them buy up large hardback volumes so they can stick them in the fire to last all night.’

A 500g book can sell for as little as 5p, while a 20kg bag of coal costs £5.

Since January 2008, gas bills have risen 40 per cent and electricity prices 20 per cent, although people over 60 are entitled to a winter fuel allowance of between £125 and £400.

Jonathan Stearn, energy expert for Consumer Focus, said: ‘If pensioners are taking such desperate measures to heat their homes it is shocking. With low wholesale prices and increasing profit margins, there is clearly room for energy companies to make price cuts immediately.’

Ruth Davison, of the National Housing Federation, said: ‘The spiralling cost of energy means heating homes has become a luxury rather than a necessity for many people – particularly the elderly, low paid and unemployed.’

That is sad and scarry.

The environMENTALists are in charge which is why we need to be prepared. For instance, if you have a wood stove or fireplace, stock up on wood, and if we have a blackout, invite a neighbor who doesn't have alternative heat.

Not if the environmentalists have anything to say about it. They want to ban wood burning 'anything'!

I heard about that. They would rather have us freeze to death in our own homes than become energy independent in ANY way.

And don't forget about the new 'smart meters'. If they think you are using too much electricity or gas, they shut ya down for awhile. CONTROL!!!
I think they were testing these out in California. Dimwits!

I never thought my country would come to this. It's very, very sad. I hope the voters vote more intelligently in the 2010 election.

Let's all write letter to editors just before the elections to remind voters why they were so angry, and which politicians voted agains their interests.

I'm reading about various Dems saying they will not run again, the most noteworthy might be:

"Democratic Sen. Byron Dorgan of North Dakota is retiring from the Senate and will not run for re-election in 2010."

For more information...http://www.politico.com

This is hopeful news when the Dem politicians know they are in trouble.
