I never thought my country would come to this. It's very, very sad. I hope the voters vote more intelligently in the 2010 election.

The sad part is that it's not just America......it's a 'global issue'......I ask,,,,who is at the helm of this ship.....certainly no one
we should abide by..........."....ye shall live as kings and die as men...."......who is equal more than whom?......

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Welcome to one world order, where one of the solutions is to reduce the population.

This environmentalist burns wood in the fireplace on a cold winter's night or damp fall night.  I also use a quad to work on my farm.  I'm also guilty of taking the occasional spin around the property line to catch a few bugs between my teeth and hayseeds in my shorts!
What I don't believe in is wasteful use of resources.  I also don't believe in improper use of what mother nature has provided us.

Wood-fired boilers are acceptable to me if used properly.  Seasoned wood, smart placement on property so as not to offend a neighbor and don't use them as an incinerator.  Wood does not combust as efficiently as fossil fuel and adds particulates to the air.  As a mother of an asthmatic, that is a personal concern I have for my child.

I also believe in using wind, solar and geothermal energy.  I do NOT favor the use of drilling in the Marcellus Shale area.  Too many folks water supply is at risk and more study needs to be done before drilling.

We all just need to use good sense and consideration of others and the earth.  We pollute by living and breathing and that's the reality of our world.  Animals do too.  We are a country of smart, innovative people.  There are other ways to generate energy that do not harm the environment.

December 21, 2012 my sister will be 60 years old.  I don't want to think that it will be her last birthday or anyone else's for that matter!

In all do respect HH.....this was all said back in the 70's. It was Green Peace saying the same thing. So here we are 30-40 years later and it is the same old same old.

There are things EVERYWHERE that will cause illness and disease on humans and even animals. Some man made and some not. So while these so called environmentalist are trying to 'save the earth' , our government has nuclear power plants miles within reach of people's homes and businesses. They would clearly ban wood burning just to feed the oil companies and to support gas companies such as our dear National Grid that isn't even American owned!!

Cell phones can cause brain cancer....but don't forget to 'click it or ticket'. Paleeeezzzz!

And how about the millions/billions of dollars that are being spent on global warming? There is more proof against it than there is to support it. To that I say HOGWASH!

Then to add insult to injury....if and when we do get sick....they want to pass restricted health care. And yes, if anyone is anywhere near intelligent, they can figure out that here is no way to pay for it except for restriction.

Nope....the environment is not on my list of priorities right now. There are much bigger fish to fry.
