So this "recession"... everything was fine... under W, until the Dems controlled congress, so that
was the beginning of the recession???  When the Dems took control of congress???
It's the Dems fault?

Under Bush, Pelosi, Reid leadership, everything was fine.

So that unfunded tax cut for the rich... putting two wars on credit, and not raising taxes
to pay for them is not the cause... the cause is the Dems and Jimmy Carter?

Are you talking about the "tax cuts for the rich" that Obama extended for 2 years?

No, he didn't let them expire. He signed to extend them.  So Obama sign onto the "tax cuts for the rich".  Obama's tax cuts for the rich.  He didn't veto the tax cuts.  He signed them.

So we are talking about the same tax cuts for the rich.

wars on 'credit'? really?

who supplies Israel with their weapons for their 'wars' and police actions?

every time America needs $$, Israel goes to war. And that has NOTHING to do with a republican or a democrat and everything
to do with economics.....

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

STOP BEING GOOD DEMOCRATS---STOP BEING GOOD REPUBLICANS--START BEING GOOD AMERICANS

So again... what YOU are saying is that Bushy imposed the Bush Tax Cuts for the Rich...
and after the economy tanked, Obama extended those cuts... Right???

Yes, Bush signed a tax cut into law in 2001.  The "tax cut for the rich" as it was called, was the reason Obama and Democrats cited for the cause of the recession.  Then, in 2010, when the tax cuts were set to expire, Obama extended the Bush Tax Cuts For The Rich for two additional years.

So yes, the Bush tax cuts that democrats blamed for tanking the economy are the same tax cuts Obama extended past the expiration date.

What do you think????

Neither.  It was the artificially low interest rates set by the Federal Reserve. Cheap money and over leveraging by banks caused the problem.  The value of the stock market and home equity values were over valued.  The economy that crashed never existed.  It was a paper economy, just like today's economy.

So there ya have it.  Funding the largest redistribution of wealth in US history... from the middle class
to the rich, had no impact on the Bush Economic Meltdown.
Funding two wars simultaneously on  credit had no effect on the Bush economic meltdown... none.

Thanks for your endorsement of the Bush Tax Cuts for the Rich.

Back to the actual thread subject... Cissy & Henry want the Minimum Wage to be voluntary...
Let the market decide what employers should pay...
At the same time...
Cutting taxes for those employers.

OR

How to screw the poor and the middle class!

Thank you and Obama for the endorsement too.  Obama didn't think it did anything either.  Obama raised taxes in 2013 and the economy is still in the tank and the rich are ricer than ever.  And the cheap money is still flowing into Wall Street. Obama and the democrats could have raised minimum wage when they control both branches of the federal government.  Nope! Instead he extended the tax cuts for the rich and passed a stimulus that was a give-a-way to the rich.

Thanks Mitt Obama...I mean Barack Romney.
